Ivoclar eMax Impulse and eMax Opal Press at Dale Dental

by Mike Rowe on September 19, 2011

I have been working with great labs everyday since I started here at Dale in providing them with eMax press and eMax CAD restorations for them to complete and provide to their doctors.

There are so many variations and options within the Empress eMax line that I truly find it exciting to work with our customers every day to ensure they always are in the best solution for their eMax case.

Recently I attended an Ivoclar technical meeting where we got to learn all about and work with a brand new eMax product they just released called eMax Impulse. I was privileged enough to spend a lot of time learning about and using the materials in conversations, classroom and hands-on workshop where we were able to see all the uses and benefits this new line has to offer.

One of things I always noticed, both since I began here at Dale and when I was working in my own lab with eMax, was that there seemed to be a void in the value between the eMax HT and LT options. This was a conversation I had many times with our Dale customers as well, so I was very happy to see that the new Impulse line seemed to address this void perfectly as the translucency range falls right in between the HT and LT options currently offered with Emax pressable ingots.

It was also nice to see less gray in the translucency in the higher value shades A1, B1, C1 and BL4. Instead there is now a more natural transition between the body and incisal using the eMax Impulse ingots.
Another nice feature was the ease in choosing the right shade, as the new line achieves its broad range in just four ingots to acquire all Vita and 3D Master shades beautifully.

In addition to the four standard eMax Impulse shades is a very nice eMax Opal Impulse line of Impulse which allows us incredible leeway in the restorations of veneers. We now need only 3 tenths of a millimeter in reduction to obtain the desired esthetics. With the Opal 1 ingot no preparation is required to do veneer restorations. That’s right, prep less veneers are now available to the Ivoclar faithful.

The eMax Impulse line is currently available for all your eMax pressed restorations and soon will be available for eMax CAD as well.
We’ve got a lot of customers already using the new Impluse line and I love talking about it as well. So, give me a call anytime to discuss further.

Sincerely,
Michael Rowe
